Upgrade your Sunset Cinema experience in the Sunset Lounge.
The upgrade does not include admission and must be purchased separately. All admits must have a Sunset Lounge upgrade to sit together in reserved area.
Sunset Lounge tickets are extremely limited each screening night & often sell out in advance!
Beanbags: Large outdoor sized beanbags. Fits one person. Available for pre-hire online when your purchase your ticket.
Lawn Chairs: Cute beach chairs to keep you up off the ground. Available onsite only.
BYO: Bring rugs, mats or seats from home. Pillow forts welcome (encouraged even!) but camping chairs can block other’s view so you’ll be asked to set up toward the rear of the venue.

Our Abbotsford site is at the Heritage Lawn within the Abbotsford Convent precinct. There is a short distance from the main carpark to the Heritage Lawn on a mixture of sealed and unsealed grounds.
The main seating area is grassed with some gravel pathway areas.
Wheelchair accessible parking is available and access for people with limited mobility is possible to most areas of the gardens including the Sunset Cinema site.
All day parking is available in the car park directly across from the Convent on St Heliers Street. The machines accept credit cards only. Funds from the car park go towards the restoration and daily operation of the Convent, and also support our neighbours, the Collingwood Children’s Farm.

The Capital City cycling and walking path directly passes precinct, and the St Heliers Street turn-off is opposite the entrance to the Collingwood Children’s Farm.
Catch a Mernda or Hurstbridge line train to Victoria Park Station. The train station is a 10 – 15 minute walk to the Convent, or you can catch the 200 or 207 bus down Johnston Street to the Clarke Street stop. The bus stop is a 3 – 5 minute walk to the Convent.
